    2 Odd Mentions

Today Tom linked to this story in a student newspaper about library grants.

The MU Libraries Web site stated, “The collections are diverse and include a substantial Rare Book Collection with material dating to the eighth century and a Comic Art Collection focused on underground comics and reprints of classic comic strips.”

What’s absolutely bizarre is that I used to work at the newspaper quoted. I was, in order, a reporter, designer, design editor, then managing editor. Whew.

Another fun fact about the University of Missouri? Mort Walker is an alumnus of the school and there’s a Beetle Bailey statue on campus.
